Lately, I have been filling up a pure copper water jug with filtered faucet water. I let it sit for 8 to 10 hours at room temperature. I’ve read many articles on the Internet about drinking copper infused water first thing in the morning and again before, going to bed at night. An Internet search might surprise you of the results.

I visited a hut with a floor of mud – smooth like ceramic tile. Hot weather baked the floor, according to my island friend. Surprisingly, the hut stood next door to a home similar to homes in a wealthy California neighborhood. I asked, “Why did you keep the hut after you built a new home.” The response, why not – it’s cooler when it’s very hot.

Just yesterday, I was going to make reservations for my friend's birthday party in Las Vegas. I almost booked a room, but then I said to myself, analyze the situation first. Overboard? How many clothes, shoes, purses and accessories do I actually need? Enough is never enough. Red dress –  needs red shoes. Turquoise dress must have turquoise shoes. Before I knew it – another walk-in closet was needed to fill up with more new clothes I seldom wore. Perhaps I was confused about needs and wants. I thought… if I want it then I need it. What a waste of money and space.

I went Back to Basics to save money. I made my own microwavable food. I prepared large amounts of fresh healthier food – used freezer-safe storage containers and froze the meals. I learned how to buy what I need instead of buying what I want. Long ago, I thought I knew how to live for less. I bought cases of food from a warehouse club and stocked my pantry to save money on food. I filled my freezer with food at bargain prices. I always took good care of my furniture and carpet to insure its long life.
